MLA Style: Other Sources

General Information

There are several other types of resources that you can use for your paper, project, or presentation.

  2. Speeches, Lectures, Oral Presentations
  3. Discussion Panels, Conferences
  4. Paintings, Sculptures, Photographs
  5. Music
  6. Films, TV Shows
  7. Podcasts
  8. Digital Files (PDFs, JPEGS, etc.)

Below is the general format to use for these types of sources.

Author. Title. Title of container (self contained if book), Other contributors (translators or editors), Version (edition), Number (vol. and/or no.), Publisher, Publication Date, Location (pages, paragraphs URL or DOI). 2nd container’s title, Other contributors, Version, Number, Publisher, Publication date, Location, Date of Access (if applicable).
