Course Description

A study of the life and teachings of Jesus with primary emphasis on the canonical Gospels. Prerequisite: CST 1012 or permission of the instructor.
The goal of this course is to address the nature, origin, methods of study, and historical, religious, and cultural backgrounds of the four Gospels. We will closely study each narrative and examine its contribution to our understanding of Jesus. Through reading, discussions, and assignments this course will help you in your quest to know the historical Jesus and the reliability of the Gospels.
